From the Desk of Pastor Horsley...
Mt 19:13 Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the
disciples rebuked them. 14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the
kingdom of heaven.
One of the most touching stories in the Bible
is found here. People are bringing little children to Jesus that He would put his hands on them and pray. They evidently recognized
the importance of little children having a relationship with Jesus Christ. Imagine having a childhood memory of Jesus putting
His hands on you and praying. I am sure that is something that you would never forget.
This week in Bible School we have been telling children about Jesus. We have been teaching them about
prayer. God has made available to us all that he has and we may receive them if we are willing to ask. It begins with salvation
and continues through everything else in our lives. Jesus us to ask and you shall receive.
These people knew that Jesus prayed and God honored his prayers. They loved their children and wanted
them to have everything God has for them so they brought then to Jesus. They knew that his prayer would make an eternal difference
in their lives. Today let us pray for these little ones.
