Pr 14:34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin
is a reproach to any people.
We have just witnessed the swearing
in of the 45th president of the United States of America. Whether we agree with him or not we need to be thankful that we
live in America where we still have the freedom to vote for a man to occupy the executive branch of our great Republic. We
recognize the greatness of our country because as a republic we are governed by the law of the land. Our great constitution
is the supreme document that determines our actions.
Friday I heard the news commentators say that we are witnessing democracy in action. They claim to believe in the will of
the people which is what a democracy truly is, but that changes when the will of the people does not agree with them.
Mr. Trumph campaigned with the slogan "Make America great again."
We need to pray that he realizes what it will take to make America great. When we turn our hearts back to God and adhere to
the truths we find in the Word of God we can truly be blessed. We see in this scripture that sin is a reproach. It strips
us of any sense of dignity and leaves us naked and ashamed before the world. Let's turn to righteousness today.
